Just in at Prism, EA has agreed to prominently inform people if they're using SecuROM on a product and provide proper assistance for people to get SecuROM off people's pcs.

The only thing it misses is that it doesn't have a clause for sunsetting the DRM.. They really should be releasing a DRM free .exe once the product reaches the end of it's commercial life and EA is the only company that hasn't done that at some stage as yet.

Should I contact Alan and ask for this? we have advanced, but I think we can advance more.

The problem is that if the settlement has gone gold... maybe hard to modify it

I wouldn't want to pressure you, with how much you have on your plate.

It's just a thought though, if EA started to do this semi-regularly though, it might just go a long way to reducing the antagonism that people have towards DRM. If they see it as something they've got to "put up with" for a couple of years, they might be more able to tolerate it as long as it's not damaging hardware. Do you know what I mean?
