There have been a number of players reporting issues using saved games based in Riverview after patching or installing High End Loft Stuff [HELS]. This appears to be an issue with the Riverview file becoming corrupted and damaging the Save. There have also been numerous reports of Riverview just causing peoples games to crap out full stop. An easy way to tell if this is the issue is to see if Riverview appears on the New Game drop down menu - if it's gone, then it has been corrupted.

If this has happened for you follow these steps:
1. Decrapify your saved game files
2. Delete any .package files or .dbc you have made out of .sims3packs as well as InstalledWorlds, DCCache, DCBackup
3. Run the original .sims3packs through decrapify and install as normal using the launcher - including Riverview

You should now be able to get into your save game.
